Boston firm picks Lagina Plumbing for renovation

Lagina Plumbing has been selected to assist in the complete renovation and interior modernization of the Bel-Air Health Care Center at 9350 W. Fond du Lac Ave. in Milwaukee.

The project at the three-story, 34,758-square-foot long-term care facility starts soon and is expected to run through late spring 2011.

The plumbing work will include new rest rooms, patient private rooms, public showers, kitchen upgrades, domestic hot water system, and retrofits of ADA-compliant fixtures and trim in the nursing home wing, with residents remaining in place.

Lagina Plumbing is doing the work for general contractor Congress Construction of suburban Boston.

“We look forward to our first project with Congress Construction and project manager Mark Jourdey,” said Jim Lagina, president of Lagina Plumbing in Milwaukee. “The Bel-Air project will challenge us on working within a fully functioning care facility. Our communications skills and people skills will be put to the test in working through tight scheduling. We believe our prefabrication capabilities and our layout skills will give us the edge needed to efficiently handle each area as it opens up for work.”
