Lagina Plumbing Helps Bucyrus Accommodate Growth
Upgrades to an existing three-story office building at Bucyrus International in South Milwaukee included work by Lagina Plumbing of Milwaukee.
Crews from Lagina Plumbing coordinated all existing utility locations and rough-in for complete new rest rooms and a first-floor safety clinic with updated equipment to service all site employees effectively and efficiently in a much more productive atmosphere, said Jim Lagina, president of the plumbing company. Work also involved renovation of office building rest rooms throughout the Bucyrus International campus.
The main work was at a 37,000-square-foot building at 1100 Milwaukee Avenue. The building, with 1950s standards, was upgraded to current standards and design, with its use converted from office space to space for manufacturing process and technical employees.
“This project was a continuation of our work with Building Service Inc. and Tom Hayden, project manager, who has been managing numerous office/manufacturing conversions over the last 8 months,” said Jim Lagina. “We have been a major part of the renovation and upgrade of the plumbing systems of these buildings.”
Work on the Bucyrus International buildings was completed in February.
Bucyrus has been expanding its operations due to increased demand for its mining equipment.
