BrassCraft Gathering Presents Opportunity to Share Plumbing Knowledge
March 4, 2008 -- Lagina Plumbing president Jim Lagina was among a select group of plumbers chosen to participate in an idea-sharing session with plumbing special products manufacturer BrassCraft.
“The visit was a great opportunity for us to discuss product development with one of the nation’s leading manufacturers,” Lagina said. “BrassCraft, which is working on some innovative products, really values the insights of the users of those products.”
Some of the product development is driven by market demand and innovation while other is prompted by regulations, such as California’s law that will severely restrict the use of lead starting in 2009.
The trip to BrassCraft in suburban Detroit not only gave the company and guests a chance to talk about products but also to learn about trends and issues from around the country.
“With plumbers from different parts of the country at the event, it offered a real window to the world,” Lagina said. “In addition to the knowledge we gain from our peers in other states, these events help us build relationships with contractors throughout the nation so the knowledge sharing can continue.”
BrassCraft, which is owned by Masco, manufactures water supplies and gas plumbing products and has manufacturing and distribution facilities around the globe.
