Sept. 13, 2007 — Lagina Plumbing is providing plumbing work for the interior build-out of tenant suites in the Mayfair Woods Business & Technology Center in Wauwatosa. It’s just one of three projects the commercial company is handling within a one-block area along Mayfair Road/Highway 100.

The building is a five-level, 165,000-square-foot structure on a wooded 10.8 acres within the Milwaukee County Research Park and will house as anchor tenants Zywave, Trivantage Pharmacy Strategies and Frank F. Haack & Associates.

General contractor C.G. Schmidt is

constructing the building to Leadership in

Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards for Irgens Development Partners.

“It’s great to work again with longstanding customers such as Irgens Development and C.G. Schmidt,” said Jim Lagina, president of the Milwaukee-based commercial and industrial plumbing company. “As Irgens Development vice president of design and construction Tim Gasperetti put it: ‘My plumber is in the house; now we can build something together again.’”

Lagina Plumbing has worked with both firms on other projects, including the 11-story 875 East office tower that Irgens developed on the east end of Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee, and with C.G. Schmidt on the recent addition to the G.E. Tower Avenue computer room expansion. C.G. Schmidt’s project manager on that G.E. expansion, Mike Hoffman, also is the project manager on the Mayfair Woods Business & Technology Center work.

The Mayfair building, with an address of 10700 W. Research Dr. is expected to be completed in January. Tenants will have access to the latest in technology and innovation. Its “green” design includes extensive use of glass walls for day lighting. Its ground level will have an inviting lobby, a common conference room and showers and locker rooms.

Lagina Plumbing is also handling plumbing work for the new eight-story, 200-unit Crowne Plaza Hotel on a parcel just north of the Mayfair Woods Business & Technology Center, with M.A. Mortenson as the general contractor, and on the new headquarters for Bloom Consultants at 10601 W. Research Dr. J.H. Findorff & Son is the general contractor for the Bloom Consultants project, which involves construction of a 32,000-square-foot, three-story building that initially will house more than 50 employees of the civil engineering company.
