Oct. 30, 2009 -- Lagina Plumbing apprentice emploiyee Brenton Jackson will be awarded a monetary tool grant in recognition of his dedicated participation in the apprenticeship program. Jackson, who recently joined Lagina Plumbing, represents the entire Metro Milwaukee area plumbing craft in this year's tool grant program, which is presented by the Joint Apprenticeship Trades Council through the Skilled Trades Joint Apprenticeship Tool Grant Program.
Selections are based on attendance, job performance and scholastic achievement among all first-year apprentices.
"Brenton, who most recently completed a 20-year Army career, is a super addition to our staff," said Jim Lagina, president of Lagina Plumbing. "He's a great example of what can be accomplished through the industry's high quality apprenticeship program."
June 18 , 2009 -- Jason Maller, Lagina Plumbing design engineer, has earned the “accredited professional” title for his expertise in green building processes and materials.
Maller earned the designation from the U.S. Green Building Council, which coordinates the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design system.
“We are excited for Jason and the professional knowledge he has gained in the areas of green, sustainable building,” said Jim Lagina, president of the Milwaukee-based commercial plumbing company. “Through Jim’s expertise, we are in a more advanced position to provide accurate, up-to-date information for our customers regarding the water-saving measures and plumbing materials called for in the LEED guidelines.”
May 26 , 2009 – Jessica Franz has joined the administrative team at Lagina Plumbing. She primarily will be responsible for small project sales and service to an ever-expanding marketplace.
“Jessica brings a a fresh approach to delivering plumbing services, and unique and bold ways to provide the customer the peace of mind that we service and install products and materials as if we owned the facility ourselves,” said Jim Lagina, president of the Milwaukee-based commercial plumbing company.
Franz has previously worked in the mechanical industry handling various duties. At Lagina Plumbing, along with her sales and service roles, she will help the company as it unveils a proprietary market initiative and will support development of the company’s special projects division. She will also be involved in the company's new Water Preserve program, and will serve as the Water Preserve consultant.
“As we enter non-traditional plumbing markets, Jessica’s skills and experience will help us create new relationships while maintaining excellent customer service for our existing clients,” Lagina said.
