Our use of Total Station technology brings additional benefits to our clients.

Lagina a Longtime Plumbing Expert
Area contractors and developers have long known Jim Lagina as a plumbing industry expert. And they know him as someone who has an excellent understanding of how plumbing work can most effectively and efficiently be integrated into a construction or renovation project.
The Lagina name has gained increasing respect in recent years as Jim helped expand the Louis Schmitt Co., a plumbing company founded in Milwaukee in 1895. Since Jim bought minority interest in the Louis Schmitt Co. in 2001, the business’s stature has increased significantly.
Lagina Plumbing was officially established in August of 2006 when Jim acquired full ownership of the Louis Schmitt Co. operations. The company name was subsequently changed to Lagina Plumbing.
Competently Handle Complex Projects
Under Jim’s guidance, the company handled complex plumbing work for such notable projects as the massive redevelopment of Bayshore Mall in Glendale. He and his team also handled plumbing for construction of the Milwaukee Public Market, the 875 East office tower in downtown Milwaukee, St. Joseph’s Outpatient Care Center in Wauwatosa, the 75,000-square-foot American Family Insurance Claims Processing office building in Pewaukee, and the $23 million Sarah Chudnow Campus of the Jewish Home and Care Center in Mequon, and the 80,000-square-foot Ace Precision Machining Corp. facility in Oconomowoc. Other projects include the 199-room Crowne Plaza hotel at the Milwaukee County Research Park in Wauwatosa, major additions to Spring Creek Church in Pewaukee, the smart car dealership in Milwaukee, McCormick and Schmick's Seafood Restaurant at Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa, and the Claim Jumper restaurant at Brookfield Square Mall in Brookfield.
As Milwaukee continues its renaissance with redevelopments and new construction, and as new development occurs elsewhere in southeastern Wisconsin, contractors and developers can count on the expertise of Lagina Plumbing.
Ready to Share Deep Knowledge
That expertise is not just in the planning and installation of plumbing products and systems. Jim and the pros at Lagina Plumbing are always open to sharing their deep industry knowledge. It’s not unusual for someone with a commercial plumbing challenge to contact Jim for a solution.
It’s no wonder the company has grown to include a staff of more than 30 and a fleet of 16 trucks – all poised for continued growth.
